I always recommend grinding coffee right before brewing it and are happy to recommend cheap and easy ways to begin grinding your own coffee.

Guatemalan coffee is arguably the crown jewel of Central America. Great Guatemalan coffees have a bright cup character, clean fruited notes, moderate body, and a lingering clean aftertaste. With varying qualities, farms ranging from huge estates to tiny small-holders perched on steep slopes, and different cup characteristics from within the same micro-regions, there is much to learn to appreciate the complexity of Guatemala coffee.

The farm Finca Los Suspiros is a joint effort between Axel Palacios and Fredy Morales in the town of San Gaspar Ixchil. I have purchased from Fredy before under his other family-farm in San Pedro Necta, Finca Rosma.

"Los Suspiros" means "the sighs". I like to imagine a breath of fresh air, which makes sense given the endless vistas of massive valleys throughout Guatemala. Los Suspiros is mostly planted in Caturra and Bourbon varietals and they are producing washed, honey and natural process coffees.
